About the Author
Bill Missett, a retired California daily newspaper editor, lives in a small fishing/surfing village in Southern Mexico. Some 25 years ago, Bill experienced a life-saving incident of spontaneous mental telepathy while bodysurfing. That prompted more than two decades of study and investigation into metaphysics and psychic phenomena, which led to the spiritual experiences that created this book.

He is married to Patrice Perillie, a prominent human rights/political asylum attorney with offices in New York City and Oaxaca, Mexico. He is the father of two adult sons, Bill III and Jeffrey, who live in California.

His personal interests include archaeology, artifact hunting, raising trees from seed, preparing homegrown chili spices, bodysurfing, bird watching, music and reading.

Brilliant work! A must for every Seeker of Truth

have arrived at a spiritual place of understanding that took me away from my 30 year Mainstream Christian Path. Not because someone influenced me, but because I was guided by an inner voice to do 2 yrs ago. I did not know why at the time, but since I left my church I discovered the true nature of Mainstream Christianity and its deceptions.

The research done by Bill Missett in this book explained many of my suspicions. Here we have documented facts proving the bloodthirsty history of this institution which calls itself the Church. Christianity of today is vastly different to the Christianity Jesus left behind. I am on a quest to return to follow the footsteps of Jesus.

This book shows us how the church since 325AD erradicated the true message of the teachings of Jesus and replaced it with a set of deceptions, created to keep humanity in a spiritual wilderness. We have been in this wilderness for more than 17 centuries now and its time for us now to cross over that Jordan and take up our Divine Inheritance.

In order to do so we need to shed our wineskins and mindsets. We need to realize that not everything taught from a church pulpit is Truth. Then we need to return to seek out the true nature of the Divine within us, as the Gospel of Luke says: "The Kingdom is within".

Here are some really good eye-openers. Here are some really good guidelines to assist us in returning to our Divine Inheritance. We can return to our True spiritual nature. The seekers of the Kingdom will seek and find it, despite churches and Jezebellic institutions.

I hope that we all discover the Truths in this book and leave a life of wandering in the desert behind us.

I drove to Las Vegas first of August and listened to it all the way - four hours.
Traffic jam on the way back so listen to it for 7 hrs straight.
Great information. Bill has put together a fantastic book on Awakening the Soul.
The Ego is mentioned over 100 times in the book. Helps you control your ego on the way to enlightenment.

Awakening the Soul by Bill Missett: The book that is changing my life!

This fabulous trilogy is a MUST-READ for all who those seek to live a truly spiritual life! It has had a profound impact on me and I must share some of my thoughts about it with you all.

From the moment I read the first words, I immediately trusted the writer's 'voice' and knew that Awakening the Soul would offer something I was looking for.

I've been a sceptical seeker of truth since I was a young teenager which has lead me down various spiritual and religious pathways over the past twenty-five years. As you can imagine, I have hit many brick walls along the way. It just so happened that just before I was led to Awakening the Soul, I was looking straight at another brick wall.

I prayed and wished that I could have a mentor who could help me to learn more so that I could continue to develop my understanding of myself as a spiritual being. As it turns out it was Awakening the Soul that was the answer to my prayers.

I read Book One - Awakening the Soul: Proof of our Spiritual Nature- and could not believe my eyes. In addition to learning new things, without seeming over-dramatic, I actually had a few tears as I actually received confirmation of some of the personal inspirational writing I had done prior to knowing about Awakening the Soul - at times this appeared word for word and was clear validation of the source of my inspiration (hence the tears-I'm even a sceptic when I'm involved).

Book Two -Awakening the Soul: Our Suppressed Spiritual Nature - made me cross! I was initially very angry. I felt robbed! Although I knew that certain religious organizations were not great on assisting seekers of truth (for their own selfish reasons) I had no idea about the great lengths they went to to secure suppression of our personal spiritual natures. I was cross because I felt if they had not done this, we would all be in a much more enlightened state and there would be numerous mentors with the spiritual knowledge that Bill Missett shared available to assist seekers like myself.

However it was Book Three - Awakening the Soul: Restoring Your Spiritual Nature that provided my missing link. In addition to everything else, the processes that the writer describes are powerful! I couldn't believe that they actually had an immediate effect upon me; I really thought I would have to be trying them for months or maybe years before I had any success - and I was fully prepared to wait because I trusted the writer's voice and just knew that it would unfold for me when the time was right.

I was seeking to gain greater understanding of myself as a spiritual being before being led to Awakening the Soul. I was not expecting to discover the missing link I've been searching for on my quest for spiritual knowledge; yet, this is precisely what Awakening of the Soul is for me - the missing link!

So, to cut a long story short, and I hope this expresses my reaction to Awakening the Soul clearly, I have bought Awakening the Soul: The Trilogy as a gift for a friend and have recommended it to many others. Now I am recommending it to you! I truly hope that you decide to get yourself a copy and let it help you to move forward on your spiritual journeys.

I have not put Awakening the Soul on a shelf since I got it as I keep reading it over and over...each time finding something new. I really cannot express enough how I wish I had found Awakening the Soul: The Trilogy sooner ... but perhaps there is truth in the old saying,"When the student is ready, the teacher appears!"

Great, comprehensive book...

...with a great layout that makes it engaging and easy to read. However, the scan-codes don't work with an iPhone, which was really disappointing, nor did some of the codes work when put directly into a computer's web browser. I bought the updated version of the book precisely because of the scan codes, so I was pretty bummed. Coulda saved 10 or 15 bucks. Otherwise, definitely recommend the book.

Video links don't work

Finally started reading it.

Looks good so far content wise, but the QR codes, for which I had to download a Microsoft app on my iPhone (stupid design, should have been the standard QR code), no longer work - video content taken down. The links don't work either. Why would the publisher take them down if the book is still being sold... dumb.

I searched a bit and it seems they haven't worked for several years.

The authors are highly regarded professionals in this area.
The book is a hardback, so made to last.
It firstly reviews all of the main herbal medicine disciplines, giving historical background.
It covers evaluating research, regulations and scepticism.
It covers the main herbal plants used in herbal medicine, including how to grow them, and how to make the best use of them.
It has a comprehensive section on veterinary clinical use of herbs, including a materia medica.
It also has some handy information in the appendices, eg. conversion tables.
The index is great because it lists plant common names, scientific names, diseases and body parts.
I would recommend this book to any veterinary professionals who have an interest in this area.

Excellent book - I am in an herbalism program and ...

Excellent book - I am in an herbalism program and use this book extensively as a reference for both humans and animals. It is written well and easy to understand with my limited knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology. The book contains a good amount of plant/herb monographs and they are well written. The authors have also included good dosing instructions, which Is information not always found in herbal reference books, especially pet herbals.

Great for Herbalist!

This book is NOT just for DVMs, though I encourage all of them to read it. This is a great book for professional herbalist (or those on their way). It is written in a very textbook format and it is technical and scientific, but it is awesome and worth the money! If you are an herbalist and have animals, or may work with them, put this book on your 'must read' list.

This book is a good reference source for threads and UNIX system calls. When a novice C++ programmer and starting to delve into Solaris system calls, this book gives out a lot of the examples and explanations a reader need to develop her or his applications. It also saves her or him from creating utilities that may be not known but already in its existence. I especially like the format. It gives a simple explanation, an example of each of the major parts, an example of the code that compiled under a real world environment, and a display of the program in action.
This book helps C programmers on UNIX in advanced C++ programming techniques in the UNIX/POSIX environment, so that they will understand the advanced features of the ANSI-C language, become familiar with C library functions and the UNIX system calls, and become familiar with the ANSI-C and POSIX standards.
This book is also a good reference for UNIX. When the OOP/C++ was not as mature as now and still in progress a few years ago while the book was written, it may cover more on the Objected Oriented Programming if it were written today. I have worked for a few leading large-scale high-performance trading engine systems for stock exchanges, such as Pacific Exchange, the national third largest, NASDAQ Stock Market, the national second largest, commodities exchanges, and Internet auction engine, and global company rating search engines. I still found the part about threads in UNIX system programming a useful reference.

I looked at lot of Unix system programming books, none of them explain how it is implemented in the system and how to use it. If someone is new to Unix Systems programming, this book gives qute a boost. It is easy to read book.

I had to change 4 jobs in past 8 years and each time this book has been a quick review of the Unix concepts & system programming.

Example: About Posix threads, I searched on internet and looked at many books including Stevens(2nd ed), but got good confidence about it after going thru the 4 pages in here than anywhere else.

About the Author
A star athlete at Oklahoma A&M, Charles Scheffel entered the U.S Army as a 2nd lieutenant after graduation in 1942. During his military service, he earned the combat infantry badge, two purple hearts, the bronze and silver stars, and the French Croix de Guerre. After extended stays in various military and veterans hospitals, he retired in January 1946 from disabilities caused by wounds suffered at the Siegfried Line along the German-Belgium border.

Here is a great first person account of combat in North Africa, Sicily and Europe. It is a very honest book where the author lists his weak areas but grows into a fine commander. A great read for combat buffs and for people who want to see how a good officer works.
