I have been a health and fitness enthusiast since around 1965. By 1974, I developed a strong interest in, and an aversion to aging. Sure, I was still young, fit and "invincible," but I saw my grandparents declining rapidly, and my parents, aunts and uncles were visibly aging and slowing down as well.

I figured if I could live to 100, medical technology would have figured out how to "cure" aging.
�
Fast forward to today, and it looks like my guess was uncanningly accurate... if not conservative. It may have been wishful thinking then, but now it's supported by many world-class researchers who are on the cutting-edge of emerging world-changing biomedical breakthroughs.
�
Going back to 1978, my invincibility turned out to be a bit overblown. I suffered a paralyzing spinal cord injury which turned my life upside down to say the least.
�
After a long period of readjustment, I realized just how fragile we meat bags are. We can be brought to our knees... or even terminated in a blink of an eye. Most are luckier than that. But we all eventually deteriorate over time, no matter how we try to stem the tide.

Currently, life is a game you can NOT ultimately win if survival and reaching your full potential are goals. Sooner or later it ends, either comfortably at a ripe old age (for the minority who are "lucky") or with prolonged deterioration and suffering!

About the Author
David A. Kekich - is a recognized expert on longevity science. In 1999, he founded Maximum Life Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation dedicated to reversing human aging and aging related diseases. He realized the inevitability that science will someday control the human aging process. He understood human beings will someday be able to enjoy very long health spans by studying aging, the root cause of most deadly diseases.

Foundation

Smart, Strong and Sexy at 100 is not only extremely informative, but it all makes so much common sense.Just about everything in life requires a good, solid foundation and this book helps tremendously to create that kind of foundation on which we can then continue to build a healthy and happy future. Already being a so-called senior, I look forward to chatting with you folks fifty years from now with whatever technology. I highly recommend reading this book and starting to build that strong foundation.

Excellent research tool for ordinary people.

Smart,Strong and Sexy at 100 is an excellent contribution. IOt updates the reader on the current state of the sciences of Radical Life Extension extremely efficiently. Furthermore it explains those strategies that can be applied by the ordinary individual now. Kekich hammers home the principle that doing what will maximize quality of life in the present is virtually the same work that increases the probability of living longer...possibly much longer. David also provides excellent resource lists. Beautiful job David!

A concise, focused, practical guide to anti-aging

If more people were to follow David's advice on nutrition, exercise and supplements ALONE, they would not only dramatically improve their own health and longevity, but also save the country a whole lot of money in terms of reduced health costs and elderly care.
After reading years ago the "Fantastic Voyage..." by Ray Kurzweil and Terry Grossman (2004), and their followup book "Transcend, nine steps to living well forever" (2009), this book "Smart, Strong and Sexy at 100" by David Kekich, provides a much easier to read, concise, and practical guide to health and longevity that can be absorbed by anyone.
Check out David's Longevity Express Dietary Recommendations (p. 79), the Top Ten foods for Longer Life (p.88) and his Longevity Express supplement recommendations (p.122-142) to get a quick feel how solid this book is, then read it from cover to cover!
